Building a Lakeside Paradise: The Story of Mike Harris's Vision and Success at Milford Lake
Owner Mike Harris's passion for the outdoors has been a lifelong affair. "My family and I have always been drawn to outdoor activities. We spent our summers camping, fishing, and boating by the lake." After serving as a Park Ranger for the Kansas Department of Wilde and Parks for 15 years, he saw an opportunity to create something special.
"Witnessing the growing demand for outdoor experiences at Milford Lake, I seized the opportunity to become a concessionaire through a Corps of Engineers proposal. What started as a modest venture with a few cabins and campsites has blossomed into the largest lakeside resort in Kansas featuring a nine-room lodge, 25 custom-made cabins, three Pacific yurts, and 61 RV campsites."
