Junction City-Geary County Economic Development Commission (EDC), in partnership with KBS Constructors, announces the “Build Commercial” resource on their website to streamline and simplify the commercial building process. This latest initiative enhances Junction City-Geary County EDC’s commitment to collaborative and creative services and solutions to support business and industry growth.

“Build Commercial” addresses the various aspects of bringing a commercial construction project to completion. Resources include local contacts for economic development, information about available sites and funding assistance, enumeration of entities involved in the project approval process, plan review requirements, and permitting fees for Junction City-Geary County. General information and considerations for the design and construction of the project are also covered.

“Commercial construction has many facets and can seem overwhelming, “ said Steve Spade, Business Development at KBS Constructors, Inc. Furthermore, finding information regarding the requirements for a commercial construction project can be incredibly tedious and time-consuming for business owners and staff.

“The ‘Build Commercial’ webpage utilizes KBS’s 32 years of experience working with clients to streamline the process by providing information in a single website for companies interested in locating or expanding operations in the Junction City/Geary County area,” said Spade.

“The Junction City/Geary County area provides a unique setting and opportunities for businesses,” continued Spade. “With rail and interstate access, Fort Riley, proximity to The National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility, Kansas State University, and the KC Animal Health Corridor with the largest concentration of animal health companies in the world; the attractions for business development are plentiful.”

Spade said KBS Constructors wanted to partner with Junction City-Geary County EDC for the project because attracting economic activity and educating and informing potential clients regarding a major investment is beneficial for both parties. “At KBS, we believe in educating clients first, earning their trust, and then earning the right to build their projects.”
