Junction City Career Advancement Network

The Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Junction City have created te Junction City Career Advancement Network (JC CAN) to support the 2,200+ soldiers transitioning out of the service from Fort Riley each year. This program is designed to assist them in securing in-demand civilian careers.

In addition to supporting our Soldiers, JC CAN also assists their family members (spouses and work age children), and Veterans.  Fort Riley’s TAP (Transition Assistance Program) reports, that if a Soldier’s spouse is gainfully employed in the area, 90% of them will stay in the region.

 

We also actively assist employers in finding talent from Fort Riley and the Junction City area to ensure the true value of Soldiers, Veterans, and their families are realized in the civilian job market.

 

JC CAN will assist corporations with coordinating one-on-one interviews and specific events such as job fairs. JC CAN also provides apprenticeship and training programs, in conjunction with our educational partners. Certification programs are available not only for our Soldiers, but also for Veterans, military spouses, and their children who are graduating from high school.
