Economic Development Commission
The Junction City-Geary County
Economic Development Commission is an eleven
member Board appointed by the Mayor of Junction
City and the Chairman of the Board of County
Commissioners.
The Board consists of:
- One (1) City Commissioner
appointed annually by the Mayor;
- One (1) County Commissioner
appointed annually by the Chairman of the
Board of County Commissioners;
- Four (4) additional
members appointed by the Mayor serving staggered
terms of 3 years;
- Three (3) additional
members appointed by the Chairman of the
Board of County Commissioners serving staggered
terms of 3 years;
- Two (2) remaining
members who are jointly appointed by the
Mayor and Chairman of the Board of Commissioners
serving staggered terms of 3 years.
Meetings are on the 2nd Thursday
of every month at 8:30 a.m. in the Economic
Development Board Room located in the basement
of the Municpal Building, 700 North Jefferson.
